Right, then - here he is! My Octopath 0 OC: Siskin. This is who I'll be playing as when the game releases, and who may feature in a fic or two later on. 🙂

Highlights from Weald CP today: 4 Meadow Pipit back for winter, Mistle Thrush, Redwing, Kestrel, Buzzard, Shoveler, Gadwall, Stock Dove, Siskin and Linnet.

Also had a couple of showy domestic Mallards take up residence in the last few weeks, maybe Silver Appleyard?

Couldn't get out this morning, but from the garden 8,500 Wood Pigeons, 100 Stock Dove, 46 Jackdaw, 45 Siskin, 8 Crossbill (one flock) and a Reed Bunting flew west. Really productive lazy/casual birding! Also managed a shave, shower and breakfast! Had good company too #ukbirding

Busy morning with three students’ writings. Good to know they love Hardy. Visited Anglers Country Park yesterday. Missed the whopper swans but glad they were there. Saw and heard treecreeper, siskin, goldcrest, and pheasant. Spotted a variety of fungi. 🤞

This weekend's focus has been checking local tit & finch flocks to see what else they may hold. Answer: a couple of Chiffys & many Goldcrests!
Best today were 3 Crossbills, a flock of Siskin & Redpolls, a Marsh Tit & the carrier flocks of LTTs are lovely, of course.

Five spectacular blue jays at the feeder this morning when I opened the blinds. Too unsubtle to be a real message from the universe.

(Two jays moved before I could grab the phone, but a lovely red-bellied woodpecker and I think a pine siskin jumped in.)
