This Paphiopedilum philippinense joined my #orchid collection in 2018 and is currently in bloom again. I love it and am grateful Mickey's Orchids in Florida let me talk her into sharing a division when I was in town even though it wasn't officially for sale.

A pink lady slipper in the woods, with two wide veined basal leaves, a little fuzzy, and a bright pink slipper on a stem that curves a little toward the top. It is lit with sunshine.

In Bloom: Phrag. Grande (caudatum x longifolium). A fantastic primary hybrid with long, frilly petals. Phragmipediums are native to South America, and grow along riverbanks & wet areas.

In Bloom: Paph. fairrieanum album. The green and white form of the species native to India and neighboring countries. It's found at fairly high altitude growing on limestone cliffs.
