We offer five 1/24 scale raceways for rental to drive your slot car around. Our tracks offer a wide variety of driving challenges. With three tracks designed and built in the 1960’s, one built in 1993, and one built in 2007, you can test your driving skills across decades of track designs.

Formally known as Slingshot Speedway, which was located in the Sugarloar Mills Mall in Gwinnett, we are Alpine Slot Cars! About an hour northeast of Atlanta, we are located in Helen, GA. We feature the largest 1:32 scale slot car road course in the country. In-house, we have 4 tracks, two 1:32 scale plastic tracks and two 1:24 wood routed tracks.

Mach 1 Raceway opened in October 2019. We are a small family-run business offering a family-friendly environment. We have a retail store with a variety of slot cars and parts, and five slot car race tracks (2 ovals, 2 Road Courses and a 1,000 ft scale Drag Strip). Our racing program includes classes for novice to pro racers. Those new to slot car racing can rent a car, controller and track time for fun, and before you know it, you will be hooked.

We race a variety of cars.. We like detail.. Our track is 4 lanes, 56 ft and completely landscaped.. Trackmate lap counting/timing system.. We have working pits with a "gas load" option. and a removable track section with a replacement section to give us a different track layout option.. We run "one off" races as well as "multirace championships.. We also run "team enduros" with "night segments." $5 charge per night with prizes and trophies. Plenty of "work tables" plus a lounge area, BIG screen TV with race (or hockey) videos.. Lots of patience and help for newcomers.. Est 1976

Back to Our Racing Roots We’ve recently installed an awesome Carrera 1/32 digital slot car track, and it’s already bringing the excitement back! The layout sits on a custom-built 8 ft. x 14 ft. table, giving us plenty of room to experiment and fine-tune the design. We’re still tweaking the setup to optimize the racing experience, and it just keeps getting better.

SAHO is a grassroots group that’s come together early 2025. The goal is to have at least 3 different home tracks to race biweekly. Car classes are starting off real simple to make sure everyone can get involved and have fun racing and meeting others.
