Polarjet und Korallenriff-Kipppunkte scheinen schon gerissen, SMOC auch. bei AMOC wurde das Kippen als unausweichlich berechnet. Amazonas-Regenwald ist dabei zu kippen. Wir sind bereits in einer krass schlechten Lage und sollten zumindest das wahrnehmen und adäquat hierzu handeln.

Even in the AMOC just slows down enough, by 2050, that already means breadbasket failure and more feedback loops. SMOC already shows evidence of reversal since 2015. We are now locked in, damage is done, whatever is left is mitigation and course correction, but not in this political climate…

There will be a Blue Ocean Event shortly. The CO2 ppm is an indicator, but floating ice mass indicates the depth of trouble to come. AMOC and SMOC will both malfunction.

Methane fissures are further complicated, and potential exponentiation of SMOC salinity upwelling, nurturing more methane release in concert with AMOC collapse.

die SMOC-Umkehr wurde bemerkt, weil sich die antarktische Meereisbildung von der Lufttemperatur zunehmend abkoppelt. Also wo der kalte Wind Meereis früher gebildet hat, da war das plötzlich verzögert, weil wärmeres Tiefenwasser dagegen geheizt hat. 1/2

und der 3. Kipppunkt dürfte die SMOC sein, die Southern Ocean Overturning Circulation, die nicht mehr CO2 ins Tiefenwasser versenkt, sondern Tiefenwasser und ihr CO2 wieder fördert, auch optisch erkennbar an der Meereisbildung rund um die Antarktis. 7/8

One of the most concerning findings was the recent salinity upwelling, discovered in Antarctica. A corresponding SMOC destabilization, that may exceed the AMOC potential collapse; can only further accelerate air/forest biomes in maintaining oscillating mitigations for human habitat.

They can't fix it.. there is no science to reverse the Tipping points we have passed... they cannot de-acidify the oceans, they cannot make the SMOC uninvert: they cannot cool the oceans.. Whales are starving from lack of Krill cause by their lack of food:

Watching people freak out about the increasing likelihood of collapse of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulatiom, meanwhile, SMOC, or the Southern Ocean equivalent, has by all accounts already reversed and is driving melt in Antarctica, and a whole other cascade.
