FWIW flatpak is well-supported on Kubunu via KDE's Discover. But I'm a recent complete convert to Snaps. Avoided them for years due to its bad PR. But when SMPlayer is >1 Gb flatpak vs some Mbs snap. Well the decision was a snap for me.

It's SMPlayer! Just a free media player from the "discover" store in desktop mode. There's other good ones too, like Haruna (which has a better interface) but I like this one because it's easy to fix the aspect ratio!
