Slow Work Day: Let’s sort ferrite! Made a quick ferrite material sorter using NanoVNA-H4 and a two-turn test loop. Ended up finding at least four material types. Now labeled in separate bags and ready for (easier) future use!

Some are labeled with part numbers (and material types), others are not marked in any way... Example for testing a type 31 core. Blue curve is the DUT trace. Red is a previously stored trace using a type 43 core. Phot showing ferrite sorted into three major piles. Not precise, but better than I had before. The rectangular clamp on in the upper left (from Radio Shack long ago) was the worst of those tested today. Would need many turns through it to attenuate common mode signals. Ugh!
