La Mussara is an old ghost town located in the penedes mountains (Catalonia). The place was abandoned by its inhabitants around mysterious circumstances around the late 1950s. The local, ancient lore talks about a rock situated in the nearby village, which according to the legend is a portal leading to another dimension. Back in October 1991, during an escursion a hiker named Enríque Marinez Ortis allegedly went missing after reaching the old town, home of the multifimensional rock. Despite the painstaking searches the body was never recovered. These days the ghost town is a haunt for paranormal investigators, pagan practicioners of all sorts, witches, hikers or simply anyone who loves the occult. I was lucky enough to visit the place in 2 occassions.
