Yep, OH worked in the town itself, we lived about five miles away. Like most northern working class towns, it’s been hammered since the Thatcher days. Steelworks and mines. 🤦♀️🤦♀️

One of the heartaches I have is the renovation of my house. The house market value is Php 450,000 standard for socialize housing. A childhood friend was tap to renovate based on a Php 150,000 but in reality I covered most: the tiles, the carpentry, and steelworks, but on his books I have a debt.

St Mary the Virgin was consecrated in the May of 1887, costing £1500 and composed of dressed local stone. Much of this cost came from a gift from John Spencer , who owned the Newburn Steelworks, in memory of his wife Matilda.

Car show hailed a huge success as it returns to Brymbo Steelworks site
A car show has been hailed a huge success after it returned to its original venue. The Brymbo Heritage Project Car Club - also known as BHP Wrexham - teamed up with Retro Works earlier this month to bring the event back to the former Brymbo Steelworks site. Car enthusiasts first began meeting at the historic location several years ago, but were forced to relocate when regeneration plans became a reality.
