The lectern at St Andrew's, Eastleach Turville supposedly came from Tewkesbury Abbey. The vine that is carved on the shaft is certainly a vigorously fruiting variety!

Bodley's exquisite 1898 pulpit in Canterbury Cathedral. Constructed in memory of Dean Payne-Smith the angels include carvings of the Annunciation and the Crucifixion. The two figures on the balustrades are St Augustine and St Gregory or possibly St Paulinus. #SundaySermons

For #SundaySermons, a pair of panels from the exterior pulpit of the Cathedral of Prato. Done by Michelozzo and Donatello (1434-1438), they are now preserved and displayed (very well!) in the Museo del Duomo.

Nave, next to choir screen #StGeorgeDunster #Somerset

Victorian stone carved pulpit masquerading as a C15 original. You can tell, it's an over-elaborate pastiche (if you don't believe Mouse see the beautiful medieval examples in Mouse's timeline) #SundaySermons #UberGothic

Who said that sermons cannot be colourful? A lovely pulpit from Torbryan in Devon made from reused C15 wood from the (intact) screen. #SundaySermons

Nave. North of chancel arch #StAndrewOldCleeve #Somerset for #SundaySermons

The pulpit doesn't bear a mention in the Listing but another source claims it is C14 or C15 (probably because of the cusped pointed arches). Mouse venture C19 or later

The lectern at St Mary the Virgin, Meysey Hampton dates from 1622 (clearly)... and still has its original book chain.
I'm assuming the inscription 'Christian Jackets' commemorates the person who possibly gave it to the church, it's lovely to see it still in use.
