I think teaching students to feel comfortable with themselves and not being seen as "lesser" students because of modifications. We all need assistance and help in our lives, regardless. I try to support my students by showing them that I believe in their abilities and support them #TeacherEd #SpEd

#TeacherEd #SpEd #kindergarten I celebrate everything I can. I make a big deal out of everything I can. Teaching kindergarten gives me the chance to really help make my new learners love school and learning. Half my job is getting them to buy into this place they will spend the next 13 years.

Most of my #teachered students --many going into #elementary stated that after our module on #coding & their #hourofcode self-selected activity, they now see #coding as more approachable and something that can be taught in their elementary classrooms.

Told my #teachered students how in 1989 I learned how to code to format the text of my resume --in the days before word processors--rather than pay a compusci student to do it for me--because what if I needed to edit it? I think am at the same stage in trying to develop an educational #AI agent or 2

I appreciate this philosophy, though unfortunately I feel there is not enough consistency in society with this. We should work towards it always, but when the student doesn't have such a genuine rehabilitative approach in every context of their life beyond school, it doesn't stick #TeacherEd #SpEd

A4 Technology allows for more individualized instruction and efficient progress monitoring, which is a huge asset in special education. However, tech glitches and the need for constant troubleshooting can interrupt learning, so having backup plans is essential.#teachered #edtech

A5: Music K-4. I use emails. I have a google classroom as well although nobody has really used it. It also gets tricky due to a language barrier for many of the parents. I make a point to interact as much as possible during concerts/graduation to establish a face with them. #TeacherEd #EdTech

In my behavior room world, I use feedback a lot but it’s to praise the good they do. I always ignore the bad because even a reaction is a different type of feedback. Praising the good has always worked for me and made my students continue to strive to work hard #TeacherEd #GrowthMindset
