In 2 months, I've been an in-patient on a respiratory ward, critical care ward, a thoracic ward, and a cancer ward. My body has been through a lot: serious chest infection, collapsed lung, multiple organ failure, chest drains, and RIG feed insertion. Today, I have my 70th immunotherapy treatment.

A Ph.D is impressive, no doubt. Congratulations - I know several and it’s a monumental achievement.

Dr. Oz is a world class thoracic surgeon, Ben Carson literally separated conjoined twins. Being exceptional - and to be clear if you have a Ph.D you 100% are - at one thing doesn’t make you smart.
Check my PhD against yours then

I’ve really lost all my thoracic mobility. Gonna fight to get it back! Here’s where we are today (wall-assisted, for now)

Cleveland Clinic page on dry needling acknowledges: “If the needling was performed in your thoracic area, it could cause a collapsed lung (pneumothorax). This is extremely rare but requires a chest X-ray and further care.”

People are talking about 5 years for Michael King? Who has only ever gotten through a full season as a starter once before getting shut down with a thoracic nerve injury in his shoulder the following season??

Just sign literally any of the top SPs who are actually proven starters at that point.

Maybe he thinks all trans women have cervical ribs and suffer from thoracic outlet syndrome 🤭

and the following: “It always ends up like this. Dawnmaker will stab you through your 10th thoracic vertebra. That's your weak spot and the only way to kill you.”

which is word for word what Mydei told him in every cycle.

Genuinely, the vibes of my thoracic outlet basketball team having anything to do with Wheels' clotted shoulder are... of infinitely more concern to me than milk.

Or Bryce's auto-erotic vampire era.

$38/$400 November goal.

I didn't meet my goal for November, but I really really am desperate for help friends.

Dealing with many serious health issues literally from head to toe. Thoracic outlet syndrome, 12 surgeries, need a cushion to sit down, tailbone removed, back spasms etc. #MutualAid

Have had bad pain in my neck and shoulder since Saturday. Just been to see a chiropractor. He thinks it could be thoracic outlet syndrome and I need several weeks of rest, ice and treatment. Running not on the cards for at least a few weeks. Gutted (and in pain) :(

I’m sorry I have just vomited up my entire thoracic and abdominal contents.
Possibly some tarsals in there too.

I had a toupet fundoplication which is a partial wrap and it was life changing. There are options. If GERD is a big issue worth talking to a thoracic surgeon. The liquid diet was tough but I got everything back after - even sleeping flat

Now that the president’s physician says it’s “standard,” will insurance companies now cover the of a full thoracic and abdominal mri every year for older Americans? I’m going to guess no.

For a while in a hospital I worked at, the only #thoracic surgeons were both #Black #women (eventually an Indian man joined group too).
But if you’re only looking for old white guys to cut your chest open and cure you, suck it up buttercup (I met one of the women with mutual #cancer parent, badass)
“I went into a room with dark suits & men with gray hair..."

“And I sat down & somebody came & told me that these were seats for the doctors & the drug reps needed to go to the back of the room.”

“Oh, I’m sorry, I’m a doctor, “I’m one of the surgeons.”

Hey, gang! It's #TrilobiteTuesday ⚒️🧪

This is Ptychagnostus, a small agnostid trilobite from the Marjum shale of Utah. While their religious affinities remain uncertain, agnostids were among the oldest skeletal body fossils and probably true trilobites, albeit the sister group to the rest.

Finally got those x-rays! Bonus with a comparison of a normal spine vs my 85° degree curve. It's wild to look and see the difference.
