A couple of art pieces relating to my xenofiction novella! Funny incident and a visualization of the “collective soul” (spiritual belief in the region where it takes place).

Panel 1: “What are you doing?” Taigex asks as she passes behind Sezten.
“I want to try to paint my symbol on this.” Sezten replies. She is sitting over a digging stick made of bone, her long multiply-split tongue out and tipped with orange dye from a small bowl sitting by her side.
“Are you sure?” Taigex asks. “It’s a pretty tiny space.”
“My tonguework is good.” Sezten replies. “I think I’ll manage.”
Panel 2: The digging stick now has an indistinct smudge of orange on its middle. A text box reads: “Narrator voice: Sezten did not, in fact, manage.”
“Oh.” Sezten says.
“Told you.” Taigex replies.
