#trait-based
Courtship and behavior surrounded around arousal; possibly synonymous interpretations based on a presented form of masculinity—which those who are looking to attract a mate adopt as a personality trait…or maybe global warming.

It’s idiotic to make blanket statements dismissing people based on an immutable trait and then not consider the real life implications. The median age of women in the current Congress is 64—vs 46 for men—so your plan to force retirement at 65 takes out half the women. But disparate impact is fine?

My toxic personality trait is waking up sore and grumpy and changing all of my plans for the day based on that and then having some coffee and medicine and feeling better and putting those plans back in place

🕷️ Working with cave spiders? Fascinated by trait-based ecology?

We've just updated the checklist of European cave spiders, plus a fresh database of their traits.

🌾 RESEARCH 🌾

Association analysis on 450 rice accessions identified 67 marker–trait associations for grain yield under reproductive drought stress, linked to 23 genes. Introgressed haplotypes increased yield by 25–27% under drought - Singh et al.

Racial trait the easy answer is he’s like an earth genasi but gem based. Long answer I run a Spelljammers campaign and he’s a homebrew race.

Thanks, image based work is my jam. Colour, shape, texture, and movement make sense to my brain in a way that language never has. It's a super useful trait for image based geo work that requires pattern recognition. The problem has been getting colleagues to accept this. 😉

This appears to be the defining trait of Republicans actually, this mindless loyalty based upon raw emotions like hate, and fear, and jealousy, and greed. They are not especially rational, which is why all of their plans were so terrible in the first place. I do not expect any Republicans to change.

The biggest issue to overcome is healing from damage. Standard Pendragon leaves you out for weeks/months. More technologically based games can overcome the issue with modern alternatives, of course. The trait system works really well in all genres.

Should I assume all reverend are horrible disgusting people just because you are?? I wont because I'm not like you. I don't judge people based on others that share a common trait.

Just tried out the Monotropism questionnaire. Monotropism is a model of a key autistic trait - the tendency to focus intensely on a few interests. I answered honestly & scored pretty highly. It's an area with some research behind it & lots of community discussion.

Yet you don’t seem to disagree with “sex is a spectrum” people in any meaningful way, since you agree that sex is not a binary. If sex is not a discrete trait then it is a continuous one (and, indeed, it is). How we construct categories of “male” and “female” based on that continuum is academic.

TFT trait idea: looting bees, each round they collect pollen from kills. Then you’d get loot and stats for each milestone. The tier five could also have a “queen bee” trait that enhances the units based on pollen collected?

A fun comparison of the SAMBA (Cigna) 2025 and 2026 plan year anti-discrimination policies. Note that they both say that they comply with Federal antidiscrimination law, but the 2026 plan removes sexual orientation and gender identity from the protected classes. Federal law hasn't changed.

A lack of empathy is a common trait of autocratic tyrants!

Rising fascism worldwide inspired me to write an allegorical trilogy on its perils: unjust war; failed democracy; race-based oppression.

it is both an interesting fact about the world that a non-zero correlation exists between big five trait personality scores and self-submitted photos and it seems utterly fucking nuts for a company to make hiring decisions based on r ~= 0.25 papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....

ladies if your bestie looks like the woman on the left, ask yourself if your friendship is really serving you. think about whether she’s as conscientious as she wants you to believe she is.

And to cut this short again.
They span the NY area.

Even if they were internally based on unusual (!) amounts of equality, that does not:

- make that a general trait of this time
- turn this into socialism

I feel like I know whether people think I'm empathetic or not based on like, vibes. do they come to me to talk about their problems? looking for support or care? then they must think I'll show empathy to them. but that means making assumptions about others motives, which trends as an allistic trait?

We trained scores for ~60 quantitative traits in 256k UKB individuals, and found that these had higher correlation with values in the 64k test set than models based on raw variant annotations did. Individuals with high FlexRV-PRS were also more enriched for outlier trait values.
