TBH it's very difficult to flee any genocide.
Prescient Jewish people who fled early could but by 1939 escape from Germany was difficult.
That's the reason for treaties that have since been hijacked by economic migrants.

Exactly. Over 400 nation to nation treaties were made wit the government of the United States. Every last one of them broken or otherwise gravely breached by the US. Even more if we count colonial era treaties inherited by the US as well.

First, let's look at the Constitution. Article I of the Constitution grants many enumerated powers to Congress that don't involve "voting for laws", which include:
- ratifying treaties
- confirming presidential appointments, including to the Supreme Court
- impeachment and impeachment trials

There's a special kind of stupid that I find hard to ignore. It's not everyday stupidity or simple thoughtlessness. Those I can ignore. What really riles me up is the stupidity derived from deep thoughts. The professorial idiocy veiled in lengthy treaties and delivered with utmost conviction.

Okay, I should add: There are nuclear propelled vehicles, like submarines and large warships. The nuclear treaties were primarily concerned with direct exhaust engines, that could produce a severe poisoning of the enviroment for hundreds of years.

An anecdote from a friend, who heard it from a guy working in russian defence sector. Siemens handed over all documentation and trained staff before the exit.

Learning about treaties is essential to understanding the shared rights and responsibilities between Indigenous Peoples and all Canadians. Honouring treaties means respecting the Nation-to-Nation relationships that continue to shape this land. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uB83G7xZgU

Americans to prevent a super powerful enemy, like a nation that builds Tsar Bombas in bulk, to destroy the US.
So, Putin is not trying to do that. He doesn't try to subdue Ukraine only to die in a nuclear fire.
It's sable rattling, as per usual. It's still concerning, nuclear treaties and all.

Russia's "Skyfall" nuclear cruise missile is a flying warcrime. I mean that literally: It can exhaust nuclear material during its low altitude flight. That's why this concept was abandoned by all the large powers back in the 1960s and they signed treaties to ban nuclear propelled

They won't honour anything, unless Trump wants them to, & if there's profit for him in ignoring treaties, contracts, Trusts or laws, he's already shown that he'll ignore them without a thought! ‘Cos he's absolutely, 100% A CUNT!

This is a well-known strategy regarding human rights and democracy; ratify treaties with accountability mechanisms that make it harder for future backsliding once you're out of office.

They do recognize them, but only when it’s convenient. Like the asylum treaties.
The U.S.A. must recognize the treaties they have made with our own Tribes. ✊️

It's also going to take eating some treaty crow. No more American exceptionalism on treaties and international agreements. Back in the Paris Accord, sign this shipping agreement, join the ICC, etc etc. Bind us to the actual RULES rather than just saying we'll play nice in the future.

Trump is not recognizing any law, friend, not even those he swore an oath to defend and protect.
Most people do not realize the magnitude of change that already happened in the US govt. The old USA may recognize the treaties, but maga gave our power away along with their own. Talk to our dictator.

Oh, I don't know… I think threatening to impose illegal tariffs on or detain nationals from countries that sign onto climate treaties levels up their evil. Similarly, they're threatening tariffs for European countries that shift power generation to renewable. It's a new era of climate sabotage.
