Bij een huiszoeking verstopte mijn grootvader zijn onderduikers in het kippenhok van de foute buurman in de veronderstelling dat de Landwacht daar nooit zouden zoeken. Prompt gebeurde dat wel en legde de triggerhappy onderduiker van opa en oma bijna de foute buurman om.

Opa en om konden de 9 borden niet meer van tafel krijgen. Mijn vader was enig kind, 2 ouders, 1 kind, 9 borden - 3 = 6. Onder die onderduikers iemand die blijkbaar bij het gewapende verzet zat en triggerhappy was.

Like...I was burned out for a reason. The plastic feel and quality control was pretty horrendous for some parts of the line.

But now I'm far enough removed from it that I only really think back on the positive things. Like how fun Triggerhappy and Hardhead were to mess with.

A comic page. Panel 1 is a closeup of a just-fired double-barreled shotgun, exaggerated smoke coming out of the still-hot barrel. Second panel is a slightly-less close-up of Miko pointing the gun, alert and looking like he's been spooked. Third panel is the fake Kat's façade falling apart after getting their head blown off, everything above the shoulders being cropped by the panel. Fourth and last panel is a super close-up shot of the fake Kat, or Erebus as we shall call him now. The shotgun wound was massive as expected, but he's slowly regenerating. What exactly is in view is a bit vague. An eye is the most that can be made out of the image, black sclera and a white iris, almost breaking apart. Broken skin and muscle sewing itself back together. Black blood drips from the open wound. The dialogue, coming from Erebus says: "Yeowch~" "Spooked weren't we?" "What? Not a fan of *that* look?" A comic page. The first panel has Mikolai still pointing the gun, ready to shoot at Erebus again, the still-hot gun still smoking exaggeratingly. "Who are you?" he asks. The second panel is a close-up of Erebus' leather boots as he walks forward. The dialogue from him starts "Oh? Lil' ol' me?" The third panel is Erebus getting up close to Mikolai, resting his chin on the still smoking shotgun as if it's nothing, a mustache'd grin on his face with pitch black eyes as Mikolai looks pale (and not just cause I didn't color him in) and nervous. Erebus' dialogue continues "Just the thing that goes bump in the night~" Fourth panel is them both turning around, Erebus' chin still resting on the barrel of the shotgun with a dumb smile on his face. The third, unseen person who drew their attention says "Lay off him Erebus, He's triggerhappy enough as it is." A comic page. First panel shows the unseen person from the last page, Jay, a woman with horns reminiscent of a sheep's. She's resting against the door, arms crossed. She says "I don't need you making another mess, especially now." Second panel Mikolai points the gun at the viewer (Jay). Erebus says before being interrupted by him "Aw, Jay, I only said Hi-" "Who are you people?!" Miko demands an answer. Third panel he continues in a lower voice "How-" He's interrupted by Erebus, who holds the barrel of the gun with his gloved hand as it was pointed back at him and says "Easy sweetheart, you used yer only shot on me." Fourth panel Jay says 'At least we're here early". The dialogue continues between the fifth and sixth panels. "A minute later and the dog would've put himself down." The fifth panel has Miko looking less nervous but still holding the gun, looking at Jay. Sixth panel is a close-up of Mikolai's legs and feet, walking back, his balance unsteady, his tail between his legs. Under long pants nasty scarring is visible coming down from his ankles. It's difficult to discern what could've caused them. A comic page. First panel is red, a sharp pain hitting Miko suddenly, all that adrenaline ran out and whatever fear-instinct was keeping him up is gone now. Second panel is the white shocks of pain hitting his leg, where the scarred leg is. Third panel he fell on his ass, the shocks still hitting him, nearly blinding. He keeps a grip on the empty shotgun, as if it has any use. Fourth panel is him on the floor, teeth gritted and brow furrowed, holding the shotgun, looking up at the two overshadowing him. Darkness closing in. In the background we can see a cane resting against a nightstand.
