THE BEAUTY OF WORDS HERE'S something intractably wrong with your paper; something that ordinarily wouldn't be a problem but, because your rhetoric is so ambitious, it becomes a problem. While your coverage of indie, dance and US rock is as good as anyone could reasonably expect, I do think that any claims you make to a diversity of coverage will always carry with them a hollow ring until you finally deal with that big bad booga man that is BLACK music. YOU invented this division. Most of us can leap from Mercury Rev to Miles to Fuse to Onyx to The Young Gods on one compilation tape without missing a beat. You, it seems, can't. It ain't your fault-the discourse of inveterate racism that has always pervaded white music criticism is merely speaking through you. But for me, as a black reader, it's starting to annoy me. All the six/seven years I've read MM, the colour of the artist has determined how you write about them. On the one hand,

only whites are allowed any opacity of language, the beauty of words themselves; blacks can only use words in a way that renders them transparent to their simple or polemical meaning. So the great pop poets are Buckley, Parsons, Drake, Chilton-not Green, Hayes, Mayfield, Robinson, Whitfield. You can talk about the "poetry" of yer Mark Kozeleks or Kristin Hershs, but not yer Ice-Tsor Gurus. Blacks aren't allowed to have the same hang-ups, the same depth of alienation, loneliness and feelings as whites. It's up to you to write the official version, because every week you perpetrate it. If you could just start talking about black music with the same passionate love and depth of insight that you afford white music and its history, then surely your writing. the paper, and maybe even the music itself could improve. I just want you to stop ignoring the dark side and change history. Y'see, I still think you care about some principles other than profit. Call me a romantic. CLIFFORDC CLAVIN I'M

sorry I had to cut this, it would have made a brilliant feature. Clavin goes on to point out the great innovation and rediscovery inherent in black music-from Miles Davis to George Clinton to Bad Brains-which has formed the inspiration behind so many revered white artists. And that most of the white music held so dear today has evolved from the likes of Robert Johnson, Howlin' Wolf, James Brown, Isaac Hayes and many others who never seem to get seen as part of the big picture. Map of Calide, a region/fictional country in my fantasy world inhabited by a few clans of bandits and forgotten empires.
Inspired by Mordor and the Tibetan plateau, this region is blocked by mountain ranges from the four corners creating a impassable natural barrier and normally avoids for easy settlement. Dotted with volcanoes, due to the unusual tectonic activity its impossible to register whether the whole region will blow up.
Not many river basins form inside the mountain ranges, but precipitation has been observed creating ephemeral rivers that come and go.
The plateau itself is plagued by toxic gases that make human permanent settlements almost impossible. But Intir, the imperial capital powered by the constant geothermal energy generated by the volcano where it's seated on, is perpetually kept at bearable temperature allowing for human life.
Names of cities and settlements: Ermet, Tuin'il, Tsor, the capital Intir, Exo, Dexatz, Dero Dex, Unnamed Cities, City of the Mercenaries.
Region places include: Abandonment of the Gods, Done'in, Broken Lands, Irregular Step, Eur Doxi, Canyon of Mori.

South of Calide, those are the countries of Numere and Sué, which are located by the side of the great desert that once was the cradle of civilization million of years ago.
Not much to say about it, since its a huge desert in the middle with some ruins (Complex of Eob, Yle'iw, Dord Vin).
Cities of Sué include: the capital Suédnore, Ogsibili, Germ and Ugwe Laidor.
Cities of Numere inclide, the capital Nuria, Lai, Lárd, Phio and Ebdo.

Waraone is located a bit further north, not much is to say about it, because its mostly uninhabited due to the cold and dangerous wilderness that makes impossible for any other human settlement other than a few towns and the capital, Metadoria.
Its westernmost border are shared with Gatica, a country that I've barely touched upon on my lore.
And Southwest to it, there's Lai, another Work In Progress.

a former employee of Kaspersky Lab, and was formerly known as Esage Lab. The company claimed to specialize
in research and protection against computer attacks.

Also... low-key, I think TSOR 2E wasn't a good idea. Revamping a one-page tabletop game was *guaranteed* to get away from me. I am instead going to work on-and-off on my other project that was already meant to be a follow-up to TSOR- at least until I sort out some personal stuff. So stick around🤘
