We are so grateful for the incredible words of encouragement and support from our community.

Every message reminds us why our mission matters, connecting people with trusted climate science and empowering continued education and engagement.

Thank you for fighting with us.

Another example of the pettiness and threat of the Trump administration's censorship and deletion of science: USEPA used to have tools and training for #water utilities to build system resilience in the face of extreme weather, including #climatechange. That website is gone. Poof.

Can cleaner school buses help improve school attendance? @saraadar.bsky.social did a fabulous study to understand the impacts of the USEPA school bus program.

I spoke with her recently to learn about this study & her larger body of work on air pollution & health: www.youtube.com/live/cOdB1SB...

To say nothing of how USEPA programs are delegated to the states to carry out - along with grant funding. Without that grant money, the state agencies can’t fund the programs. And without USEPA oversight, states can easily fail to fulfill their delegated responsibilities.
Attention all of Congress: FIX THIS NOW! Get our government workers access, Kick out Muskrat's BratHackerPack. And get our systems back!

People don’t always understand how the USEPA is over the quality of our air and drinking water. Most states have primacy agencies that do inspections, issue permits, provide training but under the authority of the federal government. We need them, or chaos will reign.
I led 100+ of my colleagues to demand the EPA reverse its decision to eliminate all regional environmental offices and programs.

They must not roll back decades of work that supports communities burdened by pollution.

The health of our people + our planet depend on it. thehill.com/policy/energ...

To be fair (and I hate saying that when it comes to these people), when I worked with USEPA staff, they were told to always wear their badges and never leave them in their laptops as a security precaution. Pain in the ass but does make sense from *that* standpoint.

ICYMI: Fed government led by USEPA has spent $200M combatting Lake Erie’s algal blooms that threaten drinking water. Results, meh. Advocacy group says it’s time to consider regulation of the source, ag pollution. More here.

We have science-based, fed. proposed MCLs & the ability (yet not the will!) 2 introduce them into rulemaking. NH’s DES (focuses on permitting rather than on protection) chooses instead 2 “implement the new fed. MCLs in accordance w/ the requirements of the USEPA.”(thus, ongoing & unnecess. exposure)
⚠️ New EPA data shows that *143 million* Americans are being exposed to toxic #PFAS through their drinking water. That's 40% of the entire U.S. population. And the actual figures are sure to be much higher since half of all public water supplies have yet to be tested.

Did you know that some forests are resistant to acid rain?

Acid rain is defined as precipitation that contains acidic compounds that are created through fossil fuel combustion. These compounds combine with the water in the atmosphere, turning it acidic. (🧵)

My USEPA webinar & an excellent follow-up panel discussion on layer risk reduction for schools 4 yrs ago.

Four yrs down & not much progress. To say we swung & missed would be generous. In most cases we never came to the plate. It was never rocket science, folks.
