प्रदेश के पर्यटन, धर्मस्व एवं संस्कृति मंत्री सतपाल महाराज ने कहा कि गंगोत्री, यमुनोत्री और केदारनाथ के कपाट बंद होने के बाद 25 नवंबर को बदरीनाथ के कपाट भी बंद हो जाएंगे। इसके बाद परंपरागत रूप से शीतकालीन पूजा स्थलों पर श्रद्धालु के लिए पूजा-अर्चना और दर्शनों के सरकार की ओर से विशेष प्रबंध किए गए हैं। मंत्री महाराज ने कहा कि चारधाम के शीतकालीन पूजा स्थलों के तहत भगवान केदारनाथ की पूजा ओंकारेश्वर मंदिर, ऊखीमठ, बदरीनाथ की पूजा पांडुकेश्वर (योगध्यान बद्री मंदिर), गंगोत्री स्थित मां गंगा की पूजा मुखबा में और यमुनोत्री स्थित मां यमुनोत्री की पूजा-अर्चना खरसाली में होगी। सर्दियों में भारी बर्फबारी के कारण, चार धामों के देवता इन दिव्य स्थानों पर विराजमान रहते हैं। इसलिए शीतकाल के दौरान श्रद्धालु इन स्थानों पर आकर सुगमता से पूजा-अर्चना कर सकते हैं।महाराज ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड की चारधाम यात्रा संपन्नता की ओर है।
