Apology not accepted...yet. We'll see how this ends. It took 300 pages before the conflict in the plot arose. Then another 83 for it to even develop. At least it's very good character work.

I enjoyed reading Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab! If you like sapphic romance and vampires, you might enjoy this book. Be aware that it’s a good bit more graphic than Schwab’s other works. CW for SA and sexual content

IDK if #veschwab normally structures her books this way, but I’m loving #buryourbones short (sometimes very short) chapters. Makes it so easy to read when there’s a toddler around who only gives me five-minute reading increments.
