I ought to tap into some mothery this week, but with NE winds all week vismigging is getting my main attention, and hitting the coast for first light means moth processing in the dark from about 5.30am at the latest.

However my first Dunnock of the year, singing away in the sunshine, hinted that spring is just around the corner and was species 51 for the patch yearlist! #birding

Excellent morning vismigging at SHB was headlined by my first patch Eiders with at least 113 birds. Most followed the coast south but a flock of 26 cut southeast overland giving nice views as they flew over the city in excellent light! An awesome spectacle for a British birder! #birding
