In the first pic, we meet Mizz and pick a response. In the second, as a Core Worlder Rael, we recognize him immediately as worldkin. In the third, a Spacer Rael comments instead on his state of dress!

In Void Dreaming, different Origins provide a reader with unique ways to relate to the various characters in the story, but specific dialogue options aren't the only way to do so. This is because in this instance, the protagonist has taken the Spacer Origin instead of Core Worlder and the scene plays out a little differently. The visual novel is full of little moments like these, ensuring that no matter what Origin choices the reader makes, they can feel like Rael's responses are appropriate to the life that he's lived according to their choices. In this picture, the reader has instead chosen the Dreamer dialogue option at the menu; this is only visible as a choice because the reader has taken that specific Origin, and their response relates directly to it. These responses often net improved opportunities to build relationships with the characters of the story, and every member of the Void Dreamer's crew has two Origin choices that specifically appeal to them. I'll even drop a secret here for those of you reading all this lovely alt text: one set of Origin dialogue choices will increase the crew member's Approval stat more, and the other will increase their Lust stat more. So if you're looking to get down and dirty with the Dreamer's crew, you're going to want to learn which of their Origin options gets their blood pumping!

Tools and fabrication equipment are scattered around, with a large multidisplay system providing an overview of the ship's status against one wall. Less furry, this depicts a very different scene absent any technology whatsoever. Golden-leaved trees fill the scene, rising around a glittering blue stream that winds through the middle of the view. A stone bridge crosses it in the distance, bathed in the light of high, twin suns haloed by cloud. The image is less sharp and more painterly than the others... something is very different here!
