On the 26th of October 2007, the 1st episode of Votoms: Pailsen Files was released. The 12 episode OVA takes place before the TV series. It would debut in SRW Z2: Hakai-Hen (PSP) alongside the TV series & the Roots of Ambition OVA.

On the 23rd of October 1981, the 1st episode of Fang of the Sun Dougram aired. Created by Ryosuke Takahashi, who would go on to create Votoms in 1983, the series ran for 75 episodes & had a compilation film. It debuted in SRW X-O (Mobile) in 2018.

It's a mix of character action and farm sim where you play an ex-military mech pilot trying to put her life back together and become a bounty hunter in a post-post-apocalyptic American frontier. It's a small, scrappy mech, scratched and scuffed in many places, painted in a mix of white and orange (with one mismatched purple air intake on the left shoulder) about the size of a Gundog from VOTOMs or a Landmate from Appleseed, armed with a mech-sized revolver and sword, and depicted running alongside a desert highway with rock buttes in the background and a midday sky above.

By the late 80s, attitudes towards Charma began to shift to an older demographic. An ad for Koto Banri & Kubi’s personal Doujinshi Aniparo Anthology works, which featured Gundam, Votoms, Dunbine and more. Notably, a story of top! Garma was included. This once hung in an S&M shop in Ikebukuro.
this is a two-part advertisement for Char x Garma parody doujinshi (Aniparo = anime parody) by two separate creators, Koto Banri and Kubi. It’s announcing two upcoming A5-size books, each about 60 pages, full of parody manga and illustrations from popular Sunrise titles, including Gundam, and highlighting their “romantic” reinterpretations. Garma and Char are having sex on either end.

y'know, it's funny, a lot of the mecha series I've enjoyed so far have been sorta slow-paced, thoughtful, with strong character work driving. original Gundam, Turn A, Votoms... that sort of thing

so it's extremely funny to now be watching Code Geass and Shit Is Happening Constantly Holy Fuck
