even without the really bad shit like that, school is just child warehousing so that parents can continue to do their capitalism duties. and nobody seems to care that the education part of warehousing of kids at the plague factory is mostly incidental

I worked in warehousing. Spent all day on a forklift dealing with crack shock (the bump you feel on the cracks between concrete) in a stand up forklift.

Most importantly, it takes away your dignity. Warehousing disabled people means they’re “out of sight, out of mind.”
This is what they want, it’s disgusting and dehumanizing. It should be illegal.

“…corporations will be confronted, therefore, by serious problems of population management, and they will have very specific demands on the state. Their machine knowledge will be designed to ensure that the state intensifies its powers of surveillance, repression, and human warehousing.”
“Until now, work provided the means for individuals to extract substantial revenues from the economy; on that basis, democracy became not only feasible but even necessary. Work … was never merely economic: the entire political system, too, was built on a twentieth-century pattern of employment”

It also allows for private business to win state contracts for housing and catering and make a big profit while warehousing people.

"Prisons are the [US's] dirty secret. No other public institution matches the scale of their oppressive violence ... U.S. prisons incarcerate nearly 1.2 million human beings, warehousing them in institutions purposefully shielded from the public, and thus from any meaningful public accountability."
"Prisons are built in remote locations, shielded behind wire and walls, and utterly severed from society’s truth-seekers—its journalists, its documentarians, and its scholars—and from the families and loved ones of those inside." Read more:

RE closure yesterday and Reuse Depot closure a few weeks ago leaves a big deficit of salvaged building material/artifact outlets right when prices/supplies of new are going way up. That said, cost of warehousing this stuff is also way, way up.

Uh, no.

That sound and that smell is what we in warehousing and transportation recognize as the social-equivalent reason to hit an e-stop and depart premises.

Of course, you're in a business to make a profit, so you have to sell it for more than you paid. Typical mark-up for a brand is 2x (some can be 2.5x). This will help cover your other costs, such as design, warehousing, worker benefits, etc.

So you sell this shirt to a store for $90.

The for profit prisons were already full, so they had to expand their portfolio to other “private equity” opportunities.

Detention centers, gulags, prisons, mental health facilities. They are all forms of warehousing humans.

It’s sick.
It’s greed.
It’s criminal.

After carefully listening and remembering how your party has shown, "in words and deeds", how you much you "respect" our capitol police by warehousing a memorial to them, I can only conclude it's just another of your ludicrous lies. I'd say bullshit, but that's crude.

This is undoubtedly the biggest example of this phenomenon right now. We are currently going all in on LLMs and date warehousing as the greatest punch through in technology of a generation, that was ***invented here in the USA***, now passes us by.

It's a cosmetic approach to mental illness. This is warehousing, not a solution. If states wanted to deal with homelessness, why, year, after year, have they keep mental health treatment a low priority in their budgets?
