Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

WKRP-1701 (for those of us ancient ones old enough to remember) 🖖😶

Wkrp is on a service we don't have but NewsRadio is a really strong suggestion. Both of them are.

I'm drawing a blank and going straight to "TV shows with two women: A bombshell and a 'plain Jane' who's possibly the most beautiful woman you've ever seen" (Dawn Wells on "Gilligan's Island," Heather Young on "Land of the Giants," Jan Smithers on "WKRP," Markie Post on "The Fall Guy"...)

Am i the only one who randomly starts humming the Feeryman Funerals jingle from WKRP at random fom time to time?

Happy Thanksgiving… from KBHR, in Cicely and WKRP in Cincinnati. And Radio Retrofit. And WFMU. And me.

I saw the original of that WKRP cover at the UGA Special Collections Library.
I'm old enough to miss the happy feeling of getting a new tv guide in the mail with a great Jack Davis cover.

People of BlueSky! Let's get to know each other better! What is your all-time favorite TV show?

I first thought this was too difficult to answer, then I thought it must be Supernatural (even my kid thought that) or WKRP in Cincinnati. But no, I realized it is … Red Dwarf.

What if WKRP was a real radio statiom, what would it sound like ...

A WKRP reference, on a Friday of all days!?

My brain betrays me. I read "Laurie Anderson" getting credit for the theme song and my first reaction is, "Wait, what? Did the receptionist from WKRP go into a musical career after her dalliance with Burt Reynolds?"
November 7, 2025 at 8:14 PM
It's a lot. Craziest thing is that the person who wrote the theme to that show also wrote the theme to WKRP in Cincinnati

I always came in from playing outside to catch WKRP. I never missed it.

Last night I watched a performance of Mahler's 8th sympohony on Youtube, and I had many critiques though overall it was enjoyable.

Tonight I watched some old clips of WKRP in Cincinatti. No notes.
