My wish for 2026 is, that my spark returns to me and that it won't be frustrating anymore to pick up a brush.

It's been a rough 2025, an intense last half and painting became stressful. I've doodled on paper scraps, and tossed it away. I've closed my palette, just because it irked--
Two spread watercolor doodles of my Trigun Witcher!AU. Vash is a golden dragon as painted on the left. Wolfwood a Witcher. Maylene a Rusalka he visits. He's combing her hair. I've painted here with Cotman colours and used professional paint for Wolfwood, the difference always baffles me. Inked linework based of the boat illustration of the Mushishi Art book, just with Wolfwood in the boat and Vash as a mushi, his body trying to mimick a heron and human. WIP painting of Falin in my sketchbook, was testing Rosa Gallery Watercolors here. Will continue when the time feels right. Started older sketch of Eli and a heron. Wanted to watercolor it, lost my motivation to continue.

A rough sketch of Vash and Wolfwood, from the Trigun series, in a bathroom. The set is dressed with a rudamentary toilet, plunger, implied stall walls, and a shot cup spilt on the floor. Vash is leaning against Wolfwood, who's only holding himself with his hand on the top of the toilet and a haphazardly placed foot underneath the toilet's bowl. Both men are holding their guns, with the word 'GUN' written on either one. The view is supposed to imply a forced perspective, with Vash's right foot appearing to be closer to the camera. The next iteration of the prior piece with full lineart and colour blocking to show the differing parts of the art. Vash is now visibly wearing his signature leather suit and some heavy-duity combat boots. Possibly some butt-pads as that man has a negative normally, but now he's caked up so much so that Wolfwood is able to squeeze it and it still be covering some of Wolfwoods 'second head'. Vash's expression is coy, whilst poor Wolfwood looks to be hot and bothered. His suit is visibly open and his belt is unbuckled- his shirt is almost non-existant as if the man only had a white lapeled suit jacket and a whole lot of nothing else under there. The bottom of his left shoe from the ball of the foot to the toe has a graphic of a cross. Their guns are each fully drawn, both looking to match the guns they'd normally have in a version of the series. The stall itself is more defined, albeit the toilet has an odd perspective. There is a roll of toilet paper with some mysterious kitty paws batting at it, a disposal bin infront of the toilet roll, a 3/4 drank bottle behind the toilet, a shot sized cup spilt on the ground, some pills, a single pringle chip, and a presumably empty bottle of booze laying on the ground in the next stall with some more pills. A half-rendered version of the piece before. Vash's shoes now visibly have metal backing on the heel, and the soles themselves are the same colour as the heel but unlikely to be also metal. There is also metal accenting on each of Vash's millions of belts along his legs, thighs, chest, and arms. The elbow of his prosthetic arm is also metal. Wolfwood's jacket is confirmed to just have a white lapel, and the inside of it is a velvet-y red with golden cross accents at the wrists. The toilet still has a bad perspective [sorry, toilets are hard to draw], but at least the black cat paws ripping the toilet paper are more recognizeable. The cieling light's cascade is also being implied as to show what the final render's lighting could look like. A mysterious fluid is between vash's cheeks above his gun. The final render of the image- way more details have been implimented past the lineart and colour blocking phases. The stall the men are in is dingy, meant to represent a seedy bar's bathroom. There's grafiti all over the place; wolfwood's symbol at his left, a representation of Vash's angel wings by his exposed and scarred back, the word 'STAMP' in bold red behind the wing, and doodles synonymous with Vash's plant markings along our left hand side's wall by the toilet paper. On the back wall behind the toilet is the name of every contributer to the Smoke & Nectar zine's username written on the wall. To be honest, I can't remember what the blue text between where Wolfwood's feet are pointing says.
