#HistFicMay #writinghabits where do I write and on what? I am privileged to have my own home office where I write most of the time, and I do most of my writing on a good old-fashioned desktop. When I write by hand with paper and pen, it's usually to jot down notes. The notes are very messy!

Those pesky words remind your readers they're experiencing something through the character instead of getting immersed in the story. I'm getting better at training myself, though. If I write words like "look", "hear", feel", "realize", etc., I better have a damn good reason for it.
