Yeah I get it, I just decided I couldn't live w/ anything Microsoft anymore and that decision has been regularly confirmed/reinforced in the years since
But I don't have any gaming dependencies
I use ZFS wherever I can, pretty much everywhere now

ssh -o CertificateFile=ed25519-${DATASET}-cert.pub -i ed25519-sk-${DATASET} zfskey@${luks_vm} | zfs load-key -n zones/${DATASET}
might not be as transparent as the curl one, but with luks, pass and a ssh certificate (with yubikey) may have moved the weakest link to another layer instead..

Q&A:
> One script manually generates /etc/fstab
2 entries are added to /etc/fstab which doesn't have better alternative.
ESP or EFI partition.
for /tmp, systemd's tmpfs is utilized instead of a manual zfs dataset. Either way tmpfs doesn't make a difference.

This is a notebook friendly (extended battery life) zfs setup.
Imagine having one zfs pool on your disk and having as many datasets as you want each of which might contain a OS / distro.
These scripts show the way how to do exactly that.
Treat yourself with power of ZFS / openzfs!

👻Every sysadmin has a horror story.
Allan Jude and JT told us about “The Shrinking zvol” — a 250TB volume that became 20TB with a single wrong command.
ZFS is powerful… but it demands respect.
Always double-check your pool names!

J'ignorais que unraid était passé à OpenZFS, je viens de l'apprendre via sa nouvelle version 7.2.0.
Cette version prend en charge l'augmentation du pool ZFS, une nouvelle interface responsive et surtout des API.
