🦋IFPRI is excited to join @bsky.app! Colleagues, partners, friends @cgiar.org and beyond - who's there? 👋 Welcome to our cloud!
I've been here for a while but only as my professional self. Is it ok to come out of my shell?
Introducing my wonderful workplace where I've been for almost (gasp!) 30 years! Follow us for research on #foodpolicy, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
As #climate disasters increase in severity & frequency, there is growing concern about how emergency responses can address gender inequality. But--why not think ahead? #AnticipatoryAction can help mobilize resources before disaster strikes. Check out our blog (and discussion paper)!

I should remember to discuss this paper in my class, because we may have an overly rosy view of cash transfers & women's decisionmaking power.
I'm following this just for Jeremy. Is he your only tortoise?
I do find that papers have better grammar, though not necessarily better content. I see lots of citation padding.
He's very interested in sociology and how institutions & poverty & inequality get in the way of science and innovation.
Is there a group of #Pinoys and #Fil-Am academics here? Looking for community! Also, my son (college freshman) is interested in finding Fil-Am professors with whom to brainstorm. He's trying to decide between STEM and social sciences (or keeping both!)
Maraming salamat!
Maraming salamat!
Enjoy! I hope you scope out the good food in the vicinity (try to go outside Poughkeepsie, which will be very, very crowded).
