I was on a sinking ship once.

The atmosphere on board was considerably more jovial than thus.

True story.

😵‍💫 The Kremlin showed Putin's celebratory lunch with the generals yesterday.

It doesn't feel festive at all. Everyone's expressions are gloomy…

It felt like that moment that so annoyed Annie in Misery. As with so many series it was an episode or two too long but diverting nonetheless

Excellent point. I don't normally like celebrity tv but the broad range of very likeable talent made it work. Sort of reminiscent of last one laughing.

Partridge is very good. And 9 bodies in a Mexican morgue too. That's three very excellent reasons to visit your Iplayer tellybox.

Old fashioned watercooler tv in the best possible sense. Highly entertaining stuff. #Traitors

Interesting comments

Badenoch and Co see education only as a means to a massive income in some soul destroying career.

Devoid of imagination and the power of knowledge they view life entirely through the prism of the CV.

My advice always is to study what interests you and the rest will follow

Right up Tice and Oakeshott's unimaginative alleys

I'm unsurprised, mind you. Dubai is a paradise to those who measure success on tax-free wealth and taste on the basis of naff gold-plated supercars. A gigantic soulless autocratic a/c shopping centre in a desert. I know that some people think otherwise but that was my impression when I went.

And we are reminded once again that Reform seem to hate everything about Britain.

They want us to be somewhere else, anywhere else but never the country they puport to love.

They are like creepy errant partners, forever eyeing up other potential mates.

UAE has no democratically elected institutions, no free speech and an appalling human rights record.

Its economy functions on completely different metrics to the ours & ranks well below us for GDP

No serious person would ever think that we should emulate it.

But here's Tice calling us decadent

If you had written this as a fake news headline a year ago, you would be called hysterical.

Really super thrilling to discover today that HAMISÍTOTT TÖRTENELEM (Fake History) has sold really well in Hungary.

Thank you to all my readers there.

The last person to be guillotined in France could feasibly have watched Star Wars. (Although it only came out in France itself a month after his death).

Same thing here. It's why my kids are studying what they love at university now.

Badenoch studied computer systems engineering. That may well have been her passion as it is for some. But I'd wager very good money she did it for considerably more.
