Why are we calling the Trump-Pu meeting a "summit", but the Trump-Ze meeting was just a meeting? Ru isn't a great power and can't achieve its goals. Let's stop feeding their delusions of grandeur.

All the students currently using AI to cheat their way through classes are going to get exponentially dumber than if they'd never gone to school at all. Their poor results will, in turn, will be used to delegitimize education. Meanwhile, the AI generation will vote, fly planes, perform surgery, etc.

11 years ago, Russia killed 298 people on board the MH17 flight that was passing through the east of Ukraine.

Recently, the European Court of Human Rights has concluded Russia is responsible for shooting the plane down.

Are you old enough to remember when the Ukraine-USA minerals deal was going to give Trump a stake in Ukraine and unlock lots of aid? Seems like several lifetimes ago.

Pax Europaea demands from us not only material defence independence, but also independence of our political thinking, political preparedness to take responsibility for the geopolitical future of Europe, which now is decided in Ukraine.

🇳🇱 Dutch and German intelligence (MIVD, AIVD, and BND) say Russia is increasingly using chemical weapons in Ukraine, including deadly agents like chloropicrin, a serious violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention. The use of tear gas & choking agents has also become routine.

A reminder that pursuing a Ru-American reset to decouple Ru from China is idiotic. Ru's price for decoupling from China would be nothing short of American blessing for more Ru invasions/domination in Europe, which would blow up NATO and the intl order thus weakening the US and emboldening China.

Trump on Kim Jong Un: "If there is a conflict -- I get along with him very very well -- we'll get the conflict solved with North Korea ... somebody is saying there's a potential conflict. I think we'll work it out if there is. It wouldn't involve us. We're very far away from a lot of these places."

If the US has cutting-edge aircraft and munitions, why has it struggled to win wars in recent decades? Why are so many of these conflicts—Iraq, Afghanistan, or even the recent campaign against the Houthis—a study in frustration and failure? The answer is that airpower has limits. on.cfr.org/3Tz3Gd9
Trump’s Iran Attack Was Impressive, But Airpower Has Its Limits
Despite the impressive advances in airpower since the 1950s—like the precision-guided munitions employed in Saturday’s attack—there is only so much airstrikes can accomplish.
