I don’t know - it snowed a few times in Brisbane in the 19th century. I came across newspaper reports of it when I was working on QLD history a few years ago.
What this means for the TJ process is unclear at this stage. One thing’s for sure though - it’s another disappointing delay for the victims and survivors who desperately need their right to the truth to be upheld.
It seems that after months of promise that Nepal’s transitional justice process might be moving forward, yesterday the committee established to appoint commissioners to the TRC and Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Political Disappearances revealed it had not been able to agree on a new TRC chair.
