Small minds. Small boats.

It’s time to think differently about about migration and mobility.

Here’s how you can get round the 90-in-180-day problem:

- marry an EU spouse
- get a New Zealand, USA or Canadian passport
- ask your MP to undo Brexit

Did you know the 90-in-180-day problem has been known about since 1985?

When the Schengen zone started there were just 7 members but certain non-EU countries still retained special visa waivers that gave citizens additional time in the zone.

Those still exist today. But unfortunately not for UK.

Of course it’s already impossible for people to overstay without consequences because passports are stamped and fines and bans are issued.

Introduction of EES would have been a good opportunity to explain the impact of the 90-in-180-day problem on people such as part-year residents.

But instead Daily Mail runs story suggesting that those with homes abroad are overstaying.

Irritating much?

⬇️ The reduced inflow of EU students and professionals has disrupted talent in sectors like technology, finance, and law.

📉 The financial services sector alone has lost around 40,000 jobs to EU cities since 2016.

This is a major shift in Labour comms. It seems Brexit will be blamed for the budget.
But naming the issue is not enough. They now need to name the solution or be left behind parties that will.

This strikes me as a pretty major Brexit shift from Starmer.

Perhaps the beginning of 'Brexit is sh1t and has caused real economic damage'.

One of the biggest problems in the UK right now is a continued exploitation of Brexit as a lever to sow division throughout the country.

It’s a wound that the press will not allow to heal.

And it gets in the way of solutions too

No, Americans have access to Poland for 90 days with a 1 day reset period, but being in Poland for 90 days also runs out the clock on Schengen access. Officially, they can't stay in Poland for 90 days, then go to another Schengen country for 90 days unless they leave for 90 days. +

Jeez... Of all the things going on in the world...

Of all the things you could spend your energy criticizing and campaigning against.... #Brexit, #Trump, #Russia etc.... no, no... you choose to spend all your time harrassing Hesselden because he has a slightly different opinion about Brit residency

Andrew Hesselden

From what i've seen, there is a targeted harrassment and bullying campaign against this guy;

I don't understand the reason for it. And frankly I find it suspicious.

I support rejoining the EU as soon as possible, by the fastest route possible.

But if that isn’t possible yet, then I want politicians to do everything in their power to make travel, trade and cross border living, working and studying easy again.
