I have no latent desire to burn books, and I doubt most people do. I'm a lifelong bookworm and revere books. Book-banning is unconscionable and fascistic. The more ideas & info published, the better.

Do not make the mistake of giving Trump or any of his appointees the benefit of the doubt.

Never chalk up clear malice to merely ignorance or incompetence, because that downplays both the danger of their actions and their intent and culpability.

Those words are not misplaced at all. They are all following a far-right, extremist, authoritarian playbook.

Though they're indeed stupid and ignorant, they're motivated by malice, greed, lust for power, and fascist ideology. Authoritarians hate their own citizens. Read authors like Ruth Ben-Ghiat.

Me too. Glad as a kid in the '70s my Dad built this motorhome out of a used school bus and my folks took us kids & our dog on long summer road trips thru ON, QC, NB and NS. ☺️

Manitoulin Island, Thunder Bay, Wasaga Beach, Sauble Beach, Thousand Islands, Quebec City, Montreal, Peggy's Cove, what fun.

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

To me, this is something akin to an SOS call.

This is important exculpatory evidence bc the indictment accuses James of seeking a “second home” mortgage when in reality she intended to use it as an “investment” home by renting it out.

(James disclosed between $1,000-5,000 in rent during 1st year, but the contract allowed short term rentals.)

The niece reportedly testified before a *different* grand jury, telling them that she had lived there for many years without paying rent. James visits regularly.
