edit: turns out the guy in the story is a nasty horrible racist prick. Naturally the BBC did not feel this was important to disclose. But it absolutely is, he is not just "some guy" he's a racist media figure.

I am no economist, I ain't got no PPE degree, but I do not see how allowing pubs to stay open later is going to help when the pressing issue is that the cost of living has become so obscene that people either can't afford to go at all, or are pushing it down their priority list

There was a woman crying at the station when I got there this morning. I told the staff there was a woman in distress and they didn't seem all that concerned. "I think she just missed her train".
