I don't understand why people want to see the Titanic. You have the endless ocean full of weird creatures, unexplored depths and they want to look at a traffic accident. Like visiting Mt. Everest to look at a car crash. It's not even an ancient ship of an extinct culture, it sank like yesterday.

Getting older I realized: Doctors can diagnose and usually heal very specific problems. But when you get old, you just get vague pains and inconveniences that are hard to pin down. You can barely put it into words without sounding like a hypochondriac, how is a doctor supposed to diagnose it?

I think a lot of cultural problems of the US stem from it being founded in the modern age. I'm Hungarian, we're honoring legends. Am I really supposed to believe there were exactly seven tribes? Lehel had a magic horn? Emese was impregnated by a bird? Of course, I can be proud of them.
