My latest video is live! It's a deep dive into the Forest of Fallen Giants of #DarkSouls2.

There's a shockingly cohesive level design that survived a troubled development!

seriously that would be so sick

What I wanna know is if anyone has ever done a MIDI cover of Midir's theme and titled it "MIDIr".

Ooh I'll see if I can find it! 🫡

Y'all have any favorite livestream/ let's play reactions to the Heretical Rise Tower invisible bridge in Elden Ring? Ideally someone having trouble with it or dying to it?

It's a confusing mess! One that I would not have been able to do an equally thorough deep dive on. I'm always very impressed by her talents.

Excellent new video by Amirah about backstabs in Elden Ring. It is an extremely cursed rabbit hole.

Oh totally! Bringing back the feeling of quaffing a potion in nethack and then instantly regretting it, haha.

Truly a joy! And the fact that it was inspired by a bunch of crappy placeholder potion icons that were prototype content makes it even better.

Grasses, Lotuses and Spices gone. All replaced with a bunch of new vaguely-named potions that don't tell you what they do.

Some effects are easy enough to guess, a lot aren't. I had a lot of fun playtesting this & figuring out what they all did. (Well, I still don't know what a couple of them do!)

Just wanna say Technology Connections rules! :)

Yes I've been talking to others. From what I've heard it's likely not remarkably different: It's basically the real 1.0 version, while the earliest public release on PC was actually a slightly higher number.

There is a niche but important value it still holds though!

alrighty good news, figured out how group aggro works in dark souls 2.

this was somehow not known/documented until now, in spite of the system being hugely important to modding the other souls games.
DS2 TeamAttackEffectivity (aka aggro groups aggressiveness aka platoon action limits aka how many enemies attack you at the same time)

This is the system that affects how many enemies are aggressive at the same time.
Every time an enemy aggro's a target, a value is added to a shared counter. If that value brings the counter over a threshold, that enemy is given a less aggressive AI role.

LogicEzStateParam
Rows 1400, 1401, 1402: "Platoon Action Limit" aggro counter thresholds
Determines value thresholds before placing an enemy into less aggressive roles
Rows 2000-2406: "Thought Weight" aggro counter values
Determines values that an enemy adds to the aggro counter
Row used is determined by an enemy's LogicComParam
Unk30 in LogicComParam determines the offset to use.
Not known how different LV's are chosen. But in the case of TeamAttackEffectivty, values are identical so it doesn't matter.
(As a side note, it looks like other parts of AI would be affected by these LVs in meaningful ways so figuring them out would probably be helpful. Seemingly not in LogicComParam, EnemyParam, or generator params)

LogicComParam
	Unk30
Determines the offset of "Thought Weight" param row to use in LogicEzStateParam.
By default, greater Unk30 values = lower aggression (lower aggro values). 0 adds the most to the aggro counter, and 6 adds the least.
Value of 1 will use rows 2001/2101/2201/2301/2401
Value of 2 will use rows 2002/2102/2202/2302/2402
			etc.

Something about the premise felt uniquely relatable and it pulled me into the movie perhaps more than usual. I don't think another movie has ever triggered as much anxiety for me.

Green Room stressed me out like no other. I've been in the exact same starting situation; Show gets canceled, you start making calls, desperate to fill a gap and you just take whoever says yes pretty much.

Also seen a little violence at shows and confrontations with neo nazi types unfortunately.

Not quite tomorrow, but everything is good! :)

I present to you without context
Dark Souls "YOU DIED" text replaced with "Hard Drive Reformatted", displayed over a slain Andre.

I agree with both putting it on and leaving after that reaction, lol.

none at all, just saw Andy mention Björk and responded with a QRT!

that's wild.

hell yeah, that'd be on my shortlist too.

also one of the best music videos ever

Though a recommendation could depend a lot on someone's tastes. If someone is into prog rock/ metal, then I'm jumping right into the deep end with songs like Náttúra and Where Is The Line
