Given that gelatine isn’t vegetarian or vegan and typically isn’t kosher or halal either, he probably only did it to “own the libs”.

I think it’s fine to leave up - I don’t think he comes across as incredibly likable in the article anyway - he’s more like bizarre public information warning against causing an intestinal blockage with gelatine

We go amongst you, carrying on, trying to do stuff, living our lives as best we can. We are more resilient than most normies will ever know. Disabled people are hard af. I think I’m past Disability Pride and heading towards Disability Rage.

10 years ago, the classic milquetoast ableism of "I don't think I could carry on if I had chronic pain, I'd end me" annoyed me cos it felt like saying that my life (which I love) wasn't worth living.

TIL that now I'm older & saltier my immediate reaction is

'Your lack of imagination is pathetic'…

Plus like you say the eligibility is weird. I’m eligible for free prescriptions (my medical exemption card is a treasured possession) but not any seasonal vaccination boosters.

Exactly this. I’m lucky that my workplace will reimburse private seasonal flu jabs but I paid for them before, but the COVID jab is so expensive for a seasonal vaccination.
