Bemused at all the people suddenly following me, so uhh.

Hi? Here's some things to know.

I swear a lot. If you're offended by words like wankspangled knobcockle, I'm not for you.

I post many moths & other bugs. I talk/yell about alt text, chronic life, pencils, & paint. I post paint-making a lot…
A colour pencil drawing of an imaginary emperor moth. It has wide, fuzzy wings that are mint green with a cream border and red wavy horizontal stripes. There are also startling eye spots, one on each wing. Its body is also green and very, very fluffy. It has thin comb-like antennas. Although it is a fictional species it's still a very good moth friend.

These pans also look oddly satisfying. They're a mixture of homemade chalks (row 1) & ochres (last couple of rows), & mixed pigment colours drying for sets.

Also did 4 mini-mulls of vivianite on 1 plate, to test different binders. Got a couple of folks lined up to test them for me vs. a prev batch!
More rows of watercolour paint pans in half, quarter, and eighth pan sizes, in the process of being filled. They're mostly in red and orange colours with some chalks and yellow ochres. Most are full and almost ready, except for the yellow ochres which are on their first fill layer. A paintmaking plate with 3 little piles of blue-grey pigment powder in 3 of it's corners, and in the last corner paint made with the pigment is being mulled with a glass mulling tool. It's a very slatey hue, and if you could hear the mulling, it would sound crunchy but not in a sharp way. Feels kinda like grinding herbs with sugar in a pestle and mortar. Except it's happening on a flat surface.

Good morning and welcome to 'how many pans can I fit on one tray.'

Today featuring the colours darkwoods, pale bark, forest floor, Italian light gold ochre (PY43), & hedgerow jam.

Most of these are for new sets. Not quite ready for their final layer except for the ochre. Gotta be patient.

Wildlife tracking tips. A wintry comic from last year.

Yet, ICE claims her documents are “not authentic” and has held her in immigration detention for days.

There’s a whole different conversation there about how surrogacy is handled in the U.K. but the important point here is that it’s incredibly rare to do paternity test before filling out a birth certificate so this judge is just being transphobic

So, one of my friends carried a surrogate pregnancy- egg donor and the dads’ sperm- and when the baby was born, despite having no biological relation to my friend, let alone her husband, her husband was put as the father on birth certificate. So uh. This doesn’t track

En ce moment au Petit Palais à Paris (musée gratuit !) il y a une exposition consacrée à Bilal Hamdad, qui peint le quotidien de Paris à l'huile.

Ca serait une photo intéressante, mais c'est le fait d'avoir pris le temps de peindre à l'huile tous les détails qui rend cette oeuvre magnifique
Peinture au style photoréaliste. On y voit une rue de Paris, dans les tons froids, avec quelques papiers au sol, des grafitits sur un mur, un plan du métro, un vendeur de maïs chaud, un couple se tenant la main, un chien tirant sur sa laisse, des passants. A l'arrière plan, deux agents de nettoyage en gilet jaune descendent les escaliers.

Kremer isn't cheap to ship here either, TBH. I usually buy from UK resellers, unless I need multiple things or big enuf quantity to make the shipping worth it.
