We need to normalize admitting when we’re overwhelmed. Like, genuinely saying, “I have seventeen things on my plate right now and adding one more might make me cry in a parking lot somewhere.”

I watched Aziz Ansari be grilled by Jimmy Kimmel (thanks, Jimmy) on Ansari’s reasoning behind his decision to perform in one of the world’s most repressive and brutal countries and he did not offer a believable excuse. I hope the money was HUGE. Human Rights Watch has unequivocally condemned this🔥.

That’s not peace that’s Orwellian doublespeak. It’s like bragging about your diet while eating a bucket of fried hypocrisy. The words and the actions couldn’t be further apart and the fact they expect people to swallow it makes it even more absurd.

He's literally renamed the department of defense the department of war and is ordering the bombing of fishing boats in the Caribbean.

We frittered away the window that we had for an economic transition without pain.
They write that the powerful have too much money invested in the death of the planet.
"Any attempt at meaningful mitigation of the crisis will have to waylay the dominant classes with a force and confrontational resolve unlike anything in common memory or imagination... As things now stand, the crisis will not wait for anything less than a blitz to strip elites of the assets they hold and defend."
