Ships already run electricity and there are EV ferries already in operation. Sure there’s work to be done for conversion, but I think it’s pretty understood at this point.

Hydrogen is not a good solution for storage due to inherent inefficiencies as well as serious storage problems. Scotland needs more batteries and more electrical demand to eat up the current “excess” production leading to curtailment. A better grid would help too.
