Court-watchers confirm this cruel ICE agent has been reinstated.

Last week, in the briefest moment of decency, violently throwing a woman to the floor was “beneath the men and women of ICE.”

This week, it’s back to business as usual. The cruelty, after all, is the point.

He threw a fit when multiple Holocaust museums requested schools not teach the Boy in Striped Pyjamas as fact. HE SHOULDN'T GET A HISTORICAL AWARD BECAUSE HE'S A SHIT HISTORIAN.

For the sake of my own peace of mind:

Stop considering John Boyne for historical awards. He's not a historian. He's a (relatively conservative) fiction writer with an interest in history who occasionally writes decent historical fiction. Stop considering him as more than an author.

Irish identity is, and always has been, multifaceted, and the struggle for Irish freedom was specifically placed in the context of broader human rights and freedom for all as far back as Daniel O'Connell.

Also, while I'm at it, the IFP and Aontú have the same delulu view of Irishness and what it means to be Irish as the "plastic Paddies" they revile - white, cishet, able bodied, neurotypical, red-haired, lilting voiced caricatures.
