I visited a small-town Carnegie library yesterday, and it was a 10/10. Seed library in an old card catalog, art museum in the attic, and classic architecture. Libraries rock! Support public libraries! 📚💙
Yes! Definitely catches attention.

So glad this book is still available through my public library! THE WATCHER by Jeanette Winter, published in 2011 by Schwartz & Wade, Random House Children’s, is a lovely book to introduce young children to some of Jane Goodall’s discoveries. 📚👍🏻 #kidlit #edusky

Today is #BrainCancerAwarenessDay in Canada. A dear friend Reid was diagnosed with glioblastoma in Feb. Photo of Reid & Luisa wearing #HatsForHope gear shared w/permission. From Luisa: "Thankfully, he’s been doing well so far. Let's bring more awareness to this terrible disease."

I really want to read this! Looking forward to it.
Holiday centrepiece with the results of my #gardening this year. A mystery vine produced 9 gourds.
I love this cozy early chapter book series, The Heartwood Hotel by Kallie George, illustrated by Stephanie Graegin. The latest, Family Forever, includes a birthday related mystery. Not for every kid but for nature or animal lovers, an absorbing escape from our screen based world. #kidlit 📚👍🏻 #edusky
Looking forward to this!
This Tuesday and Thursday!

I think people get way too far into the weeds in picking comps that fit plot and theme exactly. Going more broad and picking a vibe is probably the best bet. #kidlitchat
Posting for a friend to bring more awareness to this rare inflammatory bone disease that primarily affects children and young adults.
So excited about our projects!
Great catch-up with @andreamack.bsky.social! Each month, we meet online to talk about our Accountability Goals, how we did with the previous month, our plans for the next month. Both of us are working on middle grade book projects right now & we are also collaborating on a picture book. #KidLit
