Lulu "To Sir With Love", the theme tune to the marvelous Sidney Poitier film of the same name. A classic of the 1960s London era. You need to see it.

Thanks. I think that's my favourite build of the year.

The frogs have landed in Chicago!
Protestor in a frog suit and an anti-Ice sign with what I believe to be a Pokémon character on a street corner in Rogers Park.

Finished the Airfix 1/72 LCVP/Higgins Boat. Mostly out of the box, apart from larger diameter life rings, which were 3D-printed, the bumpers/fenders which use sailing ship rigging cord, and the deck fittings, which are polystyrene strips.
A grey-blue landing craft model.

It’s usually a bad idea to start trying to spot the Antichrist and I would generally advise against it, but there are definitely more obvious candidates out there now right now than Greta Thunberg.

The D-Day plans were very much dependent on how many landing craft were available.

Yes, pretty much a disposable boat. This model is the "upgraded" version with a bit of armour plate on the sides!

Adding some bumpers/fenders to the sides of the Higgins boat.

Blue grey landing craft now with coiled rope fenders/bumpers hanging down the sides.

I'm always amazed at the results of an average photographer 👋 using a phone camera and no tripod.

Who knew the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to those fighting to change dictatorships to democracies and not the other way around?

Lol the Nobels can't even acknowledge women's contribution to discovery. But sure let's acknowledge The Machines.
Headline from an article in Nature this week that states "Prizes must recognize machine contributions to discovery. The future of science will be written by humans and machines together. Awards should reflect that reality."

Ah, a classic moment of @nature.com recognizing the scientific contributions of both genders: man and machine.

Our son has a very rare genetic condition called DLG-4 Synaptopathy, and we were able to connect with other parents with children with the same disorder. We started a research foundation and coined an easier name: Shine Syndrome
