I’ve worked on some games. You might have played some of them. I try to make sure they’re good.

This Common Sense Day (Nov. 4), we're remembering the teachings of American revolutionary Thomas Paine, who said in his 1776 pamphlet "Common Sense" that state/church separation is a must-have in any functioning democracy.

You don’t have to wonder. Most people gain the weight back. This is well understood about the treatment.
Austin has approved tax increase after tax increase for the city, and residents have little to show for it. We are right to be skeptical that city council continues to not use the funds effectively.
The city council has been extremely vague about how they plan to spend this money. “Homelessness, parks, and other services.” They’ve done little to improve the state of homelessness in the city and have presented no plan.
@nytimes.com when I see a headline this misleading about my own city, it calls into question the rest of your reporting.

What about the questions raised around previous initiatives that got nowhere? What about the massive increase in spending on APD?
Howdy neighbor! I’d never heard of this, but I’d love to bring it back. Let’s make it happen!
He’s also my cousin (second cousin? first cousin once removed?), and I’m super proud to be related to someone doing work of this caliber and providing such an essential service during these times. 💪🏻❤️
My mother zipties her measuring spoons, which I always found mildly annoying because they’re harder to use, and you can’t really share them when multiple people are working in the kitchen.

But here I fucking am, wondering if the half teaspoon measure ended up in the Metamucil or the sugar. Again.
I was holding my breath the whole time.
This is unlikely to be the cause of the issue unless you are using Gemini (and thus creating a bunch of gems)
Usually I agonize over my GOTY, and there have been so many incredible games launched that I’d expect this year to be the same, but I have a hard time imagining anything will surpass @abioticfactor.com for me. It’s an incredible game, and I’m surprised not to see more chatter around it.
You’re not boring. The *vast* majority of social media is.

Happy Amazon Prime Day! Amazon collects mountains of data about how you use the service, but there is a setting you can change to make it harder for the company to use that data to sell you more things. #OptOutOctober www.eff.org/deeplinks/2...
I have not watched it, but this may persuade me. I found the Crown to be *okay*. But I’m also a bit of a “book was better” snob in general.

Since this Star Wars Hunters thread is going to be very long, I'm going to make a shorter thread with quoted posts where you can jump in where you want if there's a specific character you want to read about.
I’ve seen a *lot* of bad decisions, but I’ve also seen some surprising ones. Unless you’re at the studio, and often unless you’re *in the room*, it’s just a guess as to whether the decision is a bad one or not.

I expect hot takes from gamers. I expect us to treat each other better.
In a time when the industry and so many game developers are struggling, it hurts my heart a bit to see game devs post and repost cynical takes about other studios’ projects based purely on speculation. A rising tide, y’all.
