We have a pretty good crop of progressives leveraging social to great effect. Maybe it is hopium, but I actually have hope that we are seeing a pretty good chance that the Overton window will shift left, and with a populist lean to boot.

Non-theistic satanists have been doing this work for years. The act as a civil rights group as much as anything, when Christians start putting Bible shit in schools, they show up and demand Baphomet statues and such, then the 10 commandments get taken down really quickly.

It was never about intellectual consistency or honesty. They've always banged on about the constitution, but never had problems banning books, or harrassing and killing communists. They love to talk about guns, but the moment black folk picked them up it became a problem. It was always about power.

Actual lol. I just want people to think about the value of things like authority and government, the meaning of things like democracy and consent. I am not an anarchist myself, but I have been influenced by a lot of philosophies on my way to my current positions.

Probably the greatest silver lining from the string of neolib dem POTUS and Trump is that people are developing genuine class consciousness for the first time in my life. It is breaking through the red scare propaganda, the corporate media lies, and real change is finally possible.

Now is kind of a perfect time to read some anarchist philosophy, and I don't mean it in the chaotic sense, the actual political philosophy. So many of the failings of our current systems need to be re-examined from a different perspective than what we are used to, or we will never find solutions.

It is just populism, Trump talks about populist shit a lot, he speaks to the fears of the working class, he makes them feel heard. It is all BS, but he does use populist rhetoric.

Bernie has always been a champion of labor. He has always opposed the bourgeoisie. It is why neolibs hate him.

We need a more direct method to challenge illegitimate authority. The courts are not the actual remedy unless those who wield the authority are punished. New law, if LEOs infringe on your rights, they are punished for the crime they accused you of.

She is an actual populist, and kind of always has been. I do think she sees the writing on the wall, but this also really plays into the unpolished, non-elite role she has always filled.

But this isn't unique, look at Bernie Bros voting for Trump. Most people are into populist ideas, by definition

We put way too much faith in the notion of 'journalistic integrity', we put faith in way too many failing systems and institutions. We need a good long think about the actual problems we face, and look for new solutions because the old ways are dead.
