Protest, draw attention to atrocities, donate to orgs like ACLU and indivisible, volunteer for progressive candidates in your area, donate to progressive candidates nationally, and talk to people in your community. It is what we've been doing for a long time.

I don't disagree at all that they need an offramp, and I have no problem with them joining the fight, but the enemy of my enemy is still not my friend.

However, this particular movement is a poison pill and I am glad it is flaming out. There are orgs that are run by professionals to deprogram MAGA.

They have always been welcome to join the fight, nobody is stopping them. They just don't get a safe space to dictate their terms. Actual activists have been here doing the work for decades.

I never delayed it, I got in this fight with Bush suspended habeas corpus. I have been protesting, volunteering, and donating for 20 years. I get that people think this is new, but it isn't. I am thrilled people care now that it touched them, but we have never needed MAGA. We just need normies.

The founder is threatening violence again. They are just a new cult for MAGA, so that they don't have to take accountability. Further, bringing these people to protests without deconstruction is dangerous to marginalize folks.

I read a paper I stumbled across a few years back where they used this technique to map gold deposits. The model they used was apparently pretty accurate, they suggested that it may become a commercially viable way to find deposits in places that weren't historically known to be gold rich.
