incredibly successful rebrand of pay to win, from "does paying extra give you an advantage" to "do you literally have to pay in order to win." as if there's any game where you get the boss to 1% health and then a popup goes "please insert credit card to do the final attack."

pretty funny bit to include a BDS solidarity acknowledgement in your review of a microsoft published game you gotta admit
why did literally only fromsoft know how to make a cool ps3 game
not only did they win but they’re not even happy either. they have no new game they only have gacha filth. they’re anton chigurh with a broken arm bleeding all over the place having killed all his enemies and returning to his life as a slave to fate. bound to the coin (gacha pulls).
some days i feel like no country for old men but for weebs. it truly is a darker and incomprehensibly more cutthroat world than it was when i was but a boy. they dont even have final fantasy anymore. i cant be a megaten elitist to the personababies anymore, they won. what has it all come to
I have not although im morbidly curious

now am i gonna do it? no. im bad and it would take a lot of hard work. you can miss me with that. someone else should do all this difficult stuff for no benefit to themselves.
many things contributed to the perception that fighting games were impenetrable (a perception i fell into) for all those years, and part of it was "nobody fucking documented anything, they just knew it and would tell you if you asked, but nobody had thought to invent the Dustloop Wiki yet."
we need 1000 very good action game players to make Content-Friendly "WHATS up youtube, im here to tell YOU how to play ninja gaiden 2 on Master Ninja!!" video guides. this has taught everyone and their grandma how to play guilty gear and it can work again. please. please someone do this.
it’s been on my mind lately, how to do a better job framing these games as accessible and fun (because they are! they’re fun and i like them!) without scaring people away and calling every big they like slop for idiots. this is hard cause we really do not want to be polite to god of war (2018)
back in 2014 they were just stitching together 10,000 contextual animations and calling that a video game and you had to pay 60 bucks for it
unfortunately those can only make you worse
thats the thing right, he's also still an "anime is cringe and i only like The Good Ones" guy. he made that whole "why i like persona DESPITE it being a jrpg" video. i thought that type of guy went extinct in like 2015, how is he still like that????
among the craziest opinions yahtzee has stuck to over the years is "metal gear is cringe and the tonal shifts are bad, the game should be more serious." that was a normal opinion in like 2009 but he's the only person left on earth who hasn't budged on it since then.
okay thats an incredible bit, i do like that
the greatest proof that arts funding and english classes are important is the number of tech CEOs who read Neuromancer without understanding the concept of like, a plot device. or watched 2001 A Space Odyssey and thought it was literally about how a computer could become evil if it was smart enough.
tomorrow i will try to stream thi4f because i cope with playing mid by streaming it. and through suffering i will earn myself a treat (playing The Dark Mod).
i love Context Sensitive Animations and i want to see 1 billion of them
