i grit my teeth at even acknowledging the idea that a "woke 1.0" existed but such as it is, the 2010s were a decade that featured a lot of surface level liberal representational politics being positioned as genuine anti oppression by capitalists
have seen some folks mention or contemplate that there were parts of “Woke 1.0” that were inept, too much, ham-fisted, etc. Without putting anyone on the spot, has anyone more concretely described what, exactly, they think were the inept or too much parts?

my real ff7r request, given all that with the story and the place that rebirth ends up at is somehow rufus is just fully and unambiguously a good guy and the only one who is doing anything about the main plot. and that does thematically destroy ff7 but. thats fine. so long as we can play as rufus
