Re-intro time. I'm a forensic psychologist & train clinicians doing mental health services w/ people in the legal system. Big into making science accessible & transparent, mentoring w/ kindness, & checking our biases in evaluations.

Also ❤️ food & am thrilled when I get to combine that w/ work!
Collage of 3 pictures. Pic 1 = a plate of fried chicken wings w/ several plastic containers of hot sauce behind them. Pic 2 = a woman standing w/ a microphone &. shocked look on her face. On the side is a bald man sitting at a table smiling toward her. The caption "On the Hot Seat" is behind the woman's head. Pic 3 = a row of 6 people showing varying levels of agony from eating spicy wings.

That was seriously one of the most hilarious productions I’ve ever seen!
A cabin theater set with branches spelling the words Evil Dead. In front are two nicely dressed people making funky poses between a bloodied man wielding a chainsaw

Sometimes a couple needs a romantic night out.
A dressed up couple smiling in a house A dressed up couple with shocked expressions as one holds a program that reads Evil Dead The Musical A program page titled Synopsis of Scenes. Includes songs such as “What the F*@k was That?” “All the Men in my Life Keep Getting Killed by Kandarian Demons” and “Blew That Bitch Away”

Our forensic division is doing a monthly "Loving Albuquerque" gathering based on something we love about living here. Today we lamented over the canceled balloon fiesta launch w/ breakfast burritos.

The last 4 gatherings are for things our postdocs come to love over their time here. I can't wait!

Same philosophy here. Balancing those is both undesirable & unattainable, but harmony helps with prioritizing.

We had to delay our prior postdocs’ mock expert testimony, but it worked out great bc the incoming postdocs got to watch. Admin loved this setup, but it only works if we keep hiring our postdocs as faculty.

Also, yes, this account is going to be all balloons, all the time for the next 10 days. If that's not your jam, it may be a good time to mute me, lol.

Once submitted a Major Revision, 3 page review that was critical but supportive. The other review when I submitted was Accept As Is with only the words "Nice manuscript" as the review.

The response was pretty pissy at me & kept noting the other reviewer had no issue w/ the things I was noting.
