fenris is observing himself in the mirror as hawke picks up a strand of fenris' hair. Fenris asks him what's it for, accuses him of bloodmagic, to which Hawke counts that not everything's for bloodmagic and offers an explanation of keeping the hair as a memento of a loved one to hold close whenever being separated, he then reaches out for Fenris' dagger

... and cuts a strand of his own hair with it, giving it to Fenris in exchange, Fenris tells him, there's no way they're ever getting separated, but he keeps the hair anyway

I cannot explain enough how much I do not care if the actors of a ship do not like the ship.
I do not care if the creator or writers dislike it.
Whether a ship ends up as canon, or whether it has approval from the crew, is antithetical and meaningless to shipping culture
